3. Operation

Control of Digital Video Switching

„Use the following steps to perform a switch:

1.Select an output channel (destination) from among the lower eight output buttons. On the 16x only, use the SHIFT button adjacent to the Output Row to access outputs 9-16 as required.

Note

If an input is already associated with that output, the input key will light. If there is no input channel associated with the selected output, all input keys will be dark.

2.To select a new input source, press the desired key. On the 16x only, use the SHIFT button adjacent to the Input Row to access inputs 9-16 as required. The newly selected input key will blink.

3.Press Take. The newly selected input key will light steadily.

Note

To cancel the route before pressing Take, press ESC. The previous input channel selection will remain in force.

4.To de-assign an input from an output, press the desired output key. This key will light, along with the currently assigned input channel.

5.Press and release the input key, which will begin to blink.

6.Press Take. The input channel key will go dark, indicating that the input has been de-assigned and that output channel has been “blanked.”
