Cisco IE 3010 Switch Getting Started Guide

Step 4 Approximately 45 seconds after the switch powers on, it begins the power-on self-test (POST), which can take up to 5 minutes.

DuringsPOST, the SYSTEM LED blinks green, and the port LEDs turn green.

When POST is complete, the SYSTEM LED remains green, and the other LEDs turn off.

Troubleshooting

If the SYSTEM LED blinks green, does not turn green, or turns amber, contact your Cisco representative or reseller. The switch failed POST.

Step 5 Press the recessed Express Setup button with a simple tool, such as a paper clip.

You might need to press the button for 3 seconds.

When you press the Express Setup button, a switch 10/100 Ethernet port LED blinks green.

Troubleshooting

If a switch port LED does not blink green, repeat Steps 1 to 5. You can also use the setup program described in the switch hardware guide.
