4.3USING THE RESET BUTTON

The RESET button shown in Figure 4-2 initializes the ESX processor without affecting the NVRAM.

NOTE

The RESET button may be used in conjunction with the NVRAM reset switch (not shown) to also initialize the NVRAM as described in Section 3.4.

To use the RESET button, use a pen or pencil to press and release the button. The ESX goes through an initialization process for approximately 180 seconds.
