This section describes the necessary procedures to configure an IB host to communicate with an Ethernet host(s), both hosts using VLAN tags.

Host Interface Configuration
1.On a Linux Host, use the vconfig command to assign the interface in the ics_inic.cfg file to VLAN 11 (using the example in figure
{CREATE; NAME="eioc2";
PRIMARY={IOCGUID=0x66a02e1000110; INSTANCE=1; PORT=1; }
}
and ics_inic has been started (/etc/init.d/ics_inic start).
2. Using the vconfig command, create an interface in VLAN 11:
vconfig add eioc2 11
This creates an interface named eioc2.11 that sends/receives packets with a VLAN tag of 11.
