Chapter 5: Hardware Description

5.1Overview

The Dialogic® SS7G21 and SS7G22 products are equipped with a Server Board containing dual Intel Xeon processors with 512 KB L2 cache and 1 GB DRAM DIMM memory. The Server Board also includes a Riser Board that can contain up to three SS7 Signaling Boards as follows:

The SS7G21 can contain up to three SPCI2S or SPCI4 boards providing up to 12 SS7 signaling links, connected via up to 12 interface ports. These ports may be a combination of PCM (T1/E1) interface ports and V.11 SS7 serial interface ports according to the type of SS7 Signaling Board installed. See Section 2.7, “SS7 Signaling Boards” on page 12 for more information.

The SS7G22 can contain up to three SS7HDP boards providing 64 SS7 signaling links per board up to a system maximum of 128 signaling links. All ports are PCM (T1/E1) interface ports. See Section 2.7, “SS7 Signaling Boards” on page 12 for more information.

These products support a high availability feature option of redundant/hot-swap Power Supply Modules. The standard product is supplied with a single AC or DC Power Supply Module as determined at time of order.
