Below are some terms and their meanings used in this manual.

Term

Targets

Computers/servers and other devices, e.g.,

printers, firewalls, PDUs, etc., that are accessed

 

remotely via the OmniView IP 5000HQ

 

 

Client

The PC running a remote OmniView IP 5000HQ

computer

session

 

 

Remote session

The process of accessing and controlling

targets connected to a KVM-over-IP device from

 

a client computer
