STEP 5: Set up Your Dial-up Connection

To set up your dial-up connection, use the network connection wizard included with Windows.

1.Windows 95/98 — Go to My Computer Dial-Up Networking Make New Connection.

Windows Me — Go to My Computer Control Panel Dial-Up Networking Make New Connection.

Windows 2000 — Go to Start Settings Control Panel Network and Dial-Up Connections Make New Connection.

Windows XP — Go to Start Control Panel Network Connections Create a New Connection.

2.Follow the wizard to set up a connection, making the following selections as prompted:

Select a device: Select Standard PCMCIA Card Modem.

Telephone number: Enter the dial-up number of your office network/ISP.
