OPTIONAL: Set up the Card for Your Country

In order to set up the card for your country, you must first install Socket’s WhereAreYou? software. Begin these steps to set up the card for your country BEFORE inserting the modem card into your Pocket PC.

Note: Screens from a Pocket PC 2000 are shown.

1.Pocket PC Devices: Go to Start Settings System WhereAreYou?

HPC Devices: Go to Start Settings Control Panel WhereAreYou?

2.The WhereAreYou? screen will appear, similar to the one below. As directed, close any applications that may currently be using the modem.

3.Insert the 56K Modem Card into your mobile computer.

4.After a few seconds, names of countries should appear in the drop-down list. Select the appropriate country, then tap Save.
