6.Select OK to begin contouring your image. You may see the following dialog box appear when attempting to contour cut bitmap files. This slide bar sets the sensitivity of the filter. If your sensitivity is high (i.e. 255) your cut line may appear jagged as the filter picks up "noise" around the outside of an image. This is common in lower resolution files as well as JPEGs. If the sensitivity is too low (i.e. 100) the cut line may not follow the image and could overlap light colored areas. A good general setting is 240.
7.Select OK to begin contouring your image. This process will take from just a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the size and complexity of your image. When the image is finished contouring, a dashed cut line will appear around your image and both will be selected.
NOTE: If you imported a bitmap image, you may wish to select Show Bitmaps Outlines from the View menu before proceeding. For more information on this option, see its explanation in Part F of this section.
