	6. COLOUR DIRECT		Enables/disables sending of colour documents from	OFF
		TX	the ADF to fax machines that do not have colour	ON
			faxing capability. (→ p. 4-1)
			OFF:
			Colour documents cannot be sent to fax machines
			that do not support colour faxing.
			ON:
			Colour documents can be sent to fax machines that
			do not support colour faxing. (The document is
			converted to black & white.)

4. RX SETTINGS

	1. ECM RX		Enables/disables Error Correction Mode (ECM)	ON
			during reception.	OFF

	2. FAX/TEL AUTO SW		When the machine is set to FAX/TEL AUTO SW,	-
			you can set its details. (→ p. 5-2)

		1. RING START	Selects the time the machine takes to check whether	8 SEC
		TIME	a call is from a fax machine or a telephone.	(0 to	30)

		2. F/T RING TIME	Selects the length of time the machine rings when	22 SEC
			the call is a voice call.	(10 to	60)

		3. DEFAULT	Sets whether the machine switches to receive mode	RECEIVE
		ACTION	after the ring time set in F/T RING TIME has	DISCONNECT
			elapsed.

	3. INCOMING RING		When the machine is set to FAX ONLY MODE or	OFF
			FAX/TEL AUTO SW enables/disables ringing	ON
			when the machine receives a call.*

		RING COUNT	Selects the number of incoming rings before the	2 TIMES
			machine begins receiving.	(1 to	99)

	4. MAN/AUTO SWITCH		When the machine is set to MANUAL MODE,	OFF
			determines if the machine switches to fax receive	ON
			mode after it rings for a specified time.

		F/T RING TIME	If you select ON above, selects the length of time the	15 SEC
			machine rings before switching to fax receive	(1 to	99)
			mode.

*Even if you have set INCOMING RING to ON, ringing will only occur if you have connected a telephone to your machine.
