Special features

Your new machine is equipped with special features.

Print with excellent quality and speed

You can print in a full range of colors using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

You can print with a resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi. See Software section.

Your machine prints A4-sized paper at up to 19 ppma in black and white mode and 5 ppm in color mode.

The machine checks your continent and sets the color or tints of sky and grass automatically according to your continental color preference. See Software section for detailed information.

Handle different paper options with flexibility

Save time and money

• To save paper, you can print multiple pages on one single sheet of paper.

• This machine automatically conserves electricity by substantially reducing power consumption when not in use.

• You can manually print on both sides of the paper (Manual double-sided printing) in Windows and macintosh. See Software section.

Expand your machine’s capacity

Your machine has an extra memory slot to expand the memory. (Page 8.1)

• Zoran IPS Emulation* compatible with PostScript 3 Emulation* (PS) enables PS printing.

Print in various environments

You can print with Windows 2000 and Windows XP/

2003/Vista as well as Linux and Macintosh

systems.

• Your machine is equipped with a USB interface and a network interface.

The Standard 150-sheet tray supports A4/letter-sized paper and special materials like letterhead, envelopes, lables, custom-sized materials, postcards, transparency, and heavy paper.

The 150-sheet tray 1 and 250-sheet optional tray 2 support plain paper in various sizes.

Create professional documents

• Print Watermarks. You can customize your documents with words, such as “Confidential”. See Software section.

• Print Posters. The text and pictures of each page of your document are magnified and printed across the sheet of paper and can then be taped together to form a poster. See Software section.

Print Booklets. This feature enables you to easily print a document to creat a book. Once printed, all you have to do is fold and staple the pages. See Software section.
