Printing a machine configuration report

You can print the machine's information and job report.

You can print a configuration report from the machine’s control panel. Use the configuration page to view the current settings, to help troubleshoot problems.

To print a configuration page:

In Ready mode, press and hold the Stop button on the control panel for about 5 seconds.

A configuration page prints out.

Cleaning your machine

During the printing process, particles of paper, toner, and dust can accumulate inside the machine. Over time, this build-up can cause print quality problems such as toner specks or smearing. Your machine has a cleaning mode that can correct and prevent these types of problems.

Cleaning the outside

Clean the machine cabinet with a soft, lint-free cloth. You can dampen the cloth slightly with water, but be careful not to let any water drip onto or into the machine.

Caution

Cleaning the machine cabinet with cleaning materials that contain large amounts of alcohol, solvent, or other strong substances can discolor or damage the cabinet.

Cleaning the inside

1Turn the machine off and unplug the power cord, then wait a few minutes for the machine to cool.

2Open the front cover.

3Pull the imaging unit out of the machine using the handle on its bottom.
