10. The setup menu
The DVD player has a screen menu available, in which you can carry out image and sound settings as well as other functions such as, for example, activation of the child lock. When you carry out changes in the setup menu, these changes are saved even when the device is switched off.
•You can set the default settings at any time in the menu PREFERENCE PAGE.
•The setup menu can be accessed during play- back. To have access to all the settings you must be in the stop mode. To achieve this press the
button STOP t twice.
The setup menu subdivides into the following menus:
•General setup menu
•Video Setup
•Preference settings
Exiting the setup menu
•You can exit the setup menu at any time by pressing the button SETUP i again.

When you access your DVD players setup menu with the button SETUP i the menu GENERAL SETUP PAGE appears.
Navigating in the menu
1.Press the button SETUP i to access the setup

All navigation possibilities in a current menu are displayed at the lower edge of the menu.
TV display
Here you can match the vertical and horizontal image display to the playback device in use.
Normal/PS: Select this setting to display broad- casts in the usual 4:3 format on a 4:3 television set. Broadcasts in the 16:9 format will be displayed in full screen without the distracting bars although the side edges of the image will be trimmed.
Normal/LB: Display of a film in 16:9 format on a traditional 4:3 format television. The image is displayed with black bars on the lower and upper edges of the screen.
Wide:This setting is recommended when using the supplied LCD monitors or for the output of an image on a wide- screen television in 16:9 format
