Slow motion Play

Forward slow playback

Press and hold STEP during playback.

To change the speed of slow playback

During slow playback, slow playback speed can be adjusted

to any one of four speeds by pressing STEP and STEP .

The action differs depending on the setting of the REV STEP/ REV PLAY item of the ADV SETUP menu (page 48).

*VOBU = Video Object Unit:

In DVD-VIDEO, it is the smallest unit that forms a stream and, at the time of playback, is from 0.4 seconds to 1 sec- ond.

Repeat play of a title

 

 

During playback of the title you wish

 

to repeat, press

REPEAT

so that repeat

 

 

 

Title is displayed.

÷With DVD discs, the title continues playing until the end, and then playback starts once more from the begin- ning of that title.

÷With CDs and Video CDs, the disc is one title, there- fore the entire disc is repeated.

DVD.

Repeat play of all titles

During playback, press REPEAT so that

Repeat All is displayed.

÷This operation is effective only when the menu’s TITLE PLAY MODE is set to All (see page 47.)

÷When playback has continued until the end of the final title, playback begins again from title 1.

Press at the beginning and end of the section you want to repeat.

Press at the desired location.

To return, press .

÷Press CLEAR to clear a specified location.

Tips

CLEAR

÷To cancel Repeat Play, press the button.The Repeat play mode will be cancelled, but playback will continue normally.

Note

÷With some DVD discs, there may be times when Repeat playback is not possible because of the title. In this case, the

mark will appear on the screen.

 

÷With Video CDs, Repeat play is not possible during play-

 

back with the menu displayed (PBC playback). To perform

 

Repeat play, start playback without displaying a menu (see

 

page 17), and press REPEAT .
