Setting for V-CHIP/CC

Advanced Operation

1 Press SETUP to display SETUP menu.

V-CHIP/CC

In this menu, you will make some important settings for the viewing programs you select.

First, set your 4-digit password for your V-CHIP, then proceed with the settings. Refer to “Setting a new password” on page 47.

V-CHIP technology blocks movies and television programs according to their ratings.

When V-CHIP and Closed Caption (CC) systems are built into your TV, choose STB or TV as your standard to transmit V-CHIP/CC information.

When V-CHIP/CC is set to STB, the settings you make here are valid. Set the rating level on the STB. When set to TV, the settings are not valid. Set the rating level on the TV.

STB is the default.
