•If you use a DSS Receiver, you must set the clock manually. Details are on page 14.

•Complete the steps on page 27 before proceeding. This will allow you to use the VCR remote control to operate the DSS Receiver, and you will learn your DSS Receiver code.

Helpful Hints

•The Controller can change channels at the DSS Receiver only during a timer recording.

•If the VCR’s remote control does not operate your DSS Receiver, the Controller will not change channels at the DSS Receiver during a timer recording. In this case, you must select the channel to be recorded at the DSS Receiver before a timer recording begins. Leave the DSS Receiver on for the timer recording. Enter the DSS Receiver output chan- nel (03 or 04) at step 5 on page 35. Details are on page eight.
