7 Installation

7.1Network setup

This section explains how to configure the network camera for Internet connection.

1.If you have external devices such as sensors and alarms, connect them to the general I/O terminal block.

2.Connect the camera to a switch/hub using an Ethernet cable. Use a Category 5 cross cable when the network camera is directly connected to a PC.

3.Connect the supplied power adapter from the network camera to a power outlet.

There are several ways to set up the network camera via the Internet:

zSet up the network camera behind a router.

zUtilize a static IP.

zUse PPPoE.
