The most commonly deployed players are:

*Windows media Player 6.4 (Windows and Windows nt)

*Windows media Player 9 and later (Windows)

*Windows media Player 9 for mac os X (10.1 and later)

*Windows media Player mobile

*WMP for Pocket PC 2000

Windows media video codecs

ÆWindows Media has a broad set of codecs available, but the latest codec is considered to be clearly the best.

These codecs include:

*Windows media Video 9 (WmV9)

*Windows media Video 8 (WmV8)

*Windows media Video 7 (WmV7)

*Microsoft mPeG‐4 version 3
