Switching on/off

Switching demo mode on/off

The device is supplied from the factory with demo mode switched on. In demo mode, an animation plays on the display that shows the most important functions of the de- vice.

The animation is shown for approx. 16 sec- onds after the last activation of the button. Pressing any button interrupts the anima- tion and returns to the display of the current audio source.

To switch the demo mode on or off,

￿press the MENU button A for longer than 4 seconds.

Switching the welcome text on/off and changing it (Turn On Text)

When you switch on the device, an anima- tion appears, followed by a welcome text. The welcome text is factory set to "The ad- vantage in your car".

You can switch the display of this welcome text on or off and enter your own welcome text of up to 35 characters.

Switching the welcome text on/off

To switch the welcome text on or off,

￿press the MENU button A. The menu is displayed.

￿Press the softkey "Display Settings"

The "Display" menu appears.

￿Press the softkey "Turn On Text" ::

: The welcome text is switched on.

: The welcome text is switched off.

When you have finished making your changes,

￿press the OK button Brepeatedly un- til you reach the desired menu level for additional settings or completely exit the menu.

Changing the welcome text

To change the welcome text,

￿press the MENU button A. The menu is displayed.

￿Press the softkey "Various Settings"

￿Press the softkey "Turn On Text" 8.

The 35-character text input is displayed. The first character is highlighted.

To switch between the entry positions,

￿press the or button >.

To select a character at an entry position,

￿press the or button @.

To save the name entered and to exit the text input,

￿press the OK button B.
