Switching PTY on/off (Program Type)

To switch on PTY, select a programme type. For further details, read the section "Selecting the programme type and start- ing seek tuning" in this chapter.

To switch off PTY,

￿press the BAND button ?.

The display shows the first page of the "Tuner" menu.

￿Change to the second page of the

"Tuner" menu by pressing the NEXT button 2.

￿Press the softkey "Program Type" ;. The "PTY" menu is displayed.

￿Press the softkey "PTY OFF" 6.

When you have finished making your changes,

￿press the OK button B.

Selecting the PTY language (Program Lang)

You can select the language for the display of the programme types. Options include DEUTSCH, ENGLISH and FRANÇAIS.

￿press the BAND button ?.

The display shows the first page of the "Tuner" menu.

￿Change to the second page of the

"Tuner" menu by pressing the NEXT button 2.

￿Press the softkey "Program Lang" 9. The "PTY LANG" menu is displayed.

To select a language,

￿ press the softkey "English" 6, "Francais" 8or "Deutsch" ;.

When you have finished making your changes,

￿press the OK button B.

Selecting the programme type and starting seek tuning (Program Type)

￿Press the BAND button ?.

The display shows the first page of the "Tuner" menu.

￿Change to the second page of the

"Tuner" menu by pressing the NEXT button 2.

￿Press the softkey "Program Type" ;. The "PTY" menu is displayed.

If the desired programme type is not of- fered in the current view,

￿scroll through the "PTY" menu with the NEXT button 2.

To select a programme type,

￿press the corresponding softkey 7to

;.

￿Press the or button @ to start seek tuning.

The radio will then tune into the next station that it finds that corresponds to your select- ed programme type.

Note:

After selecting a programme type, you can also exit the "PTY" menu with the OK button Bwithout starting the seek tuning. As long as a programme type is selected, you can also start the PTY seek tuning in regular radio mode with

the or button @.
