MP3/WMA mode

Selecting a directory

To move up or down to another directory,

￿press the or button @ once or several times.

Notes:

The device will automatically skip and not display any directories that do not contain MP3 files.

The device treats all directories and subdirectories as if they were located

on one level. Repeatedly pressing the or button @will also bring you to all subdirectories.

Selecting tracks/files

To move up or down to another track/file in the current directory,

￿press the or button > once or several times.

If you press the >button once, the cur- rent track will be played again from the be- ginning.

Selecting directories and track in MP3 browse mode

In MP3 browse mode, the tracks and direc- tories of the MP3 CD are displayed as they are physically stored on the CD in directo- ries and subdirectories. For this purpose, a four-line display is shown in MP3 browse mode. This display shows all the tracks and subdirectories of the current directory as a list. You can select and play a track in this list or select and open a subdirectory. In ad- dition, you can change to the higher level directory if you are currently in a subdirec- tory.

Selecting and exiting MP3 browse mode

To change from MP3 display to MP3 browse mode,

￿press the NEXT button 2.

The "BROWSE" menu is displayed with a list of the subdirectories and tracks of the cur- rent directory. The current track is selected in the list.

To exit MP3 browse mode again,

￿press the NEXT button 2. The MP3 display is shown.

Notes:

If the CD also contains MP3 or WMA

playlists, pressing the NEXT button 2 brings you to the playlist mode from the MP3 browse mode (see the section "Selecting playlists and tracks in MP3 playlist mode" in this chap-

ter). In this case, press the NEXT but- ton 2a second time to return to the MP3 display.

The functions of the MP3 display (e.g Mix and Repeat) are not available in MP3 browse mode.

Selecting a track or subdirectory

To move up or down in the list to the desired track or subdirectory,

￿press the softkeys ; or 9 once or

several times or the or button @.

Note:

If the list contains more than 4 tracks and subdirectories, the list is automati- cally scrolled up or down while you are navigating in the list. If you reached the top or the bottom of the list, the arrows
