Connecting external audio sources

External audio sources, such as portable CD players, MiniDisc players or MP3 play- ers, can be connected to the device in two ways:

1.Via the rear AUX input (if no CD changer is connected to the device).

Notes:

An adapter cable is needed to con- nect an external audio source via the rear AUX input. You can obtain this ca- ble (Blaupunkt no.: 7 607 897 093) from your Blaupunkt dealer.

As soon as the rear AUX input is

switched on, it can be selected with the SOURCE button 4 (to switch on the rear AUX input, please read the following section). "AUXILIARY 1" then appears on the display.

2.Via the front AUX-IN socket.

DANGER!

Increased risk of injury from connector.

In case of an accident, the protruding con- nector in the front AUX-IN socket may cause injuries. The use of straight plugs or adapt- ers can lead to an increased risk of injury.

For this reason, we recommend using an- gled jack plugs, e.g. the Blaupunkt acces- sories cable (7 607 001 535).

Note:

As soon as the front AUX-IN socket is switched on in the settings and an ex- ternal audio source is connected, it can be selected with the SOURCE but- ton 4 (to switch on the front AUX-IN socket, please read the following sec- tion). "AUXILIARY 2" then appears on the display.

Switching on the rear AUX input and front AUX-IN socket (Auxiliary)

For external audio sources to be played back via the rear AUX input and the front AUX-IN socket, they must be switched on in the settings.

￿Press the MENU button A. The menu is displayed.

￿Press the softkey "Aux Settings" :. The "Aux" menu is displayed.
