HOW TO USE A CUSTOM WORKOUT

1.Insert the key into the console.

See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 13.

2.Personalize console settings if desired. See HOW TO PERSONALIZE CONSOLE SET- TINGS on page 13.

3.Select a custom workout.

To select a custom workout, press the Custom but- ton until Custom Workout 1, Custom Workout 2, Custom Workout 3, or Custom Workout 4 appears in the display.

When a custom workout is selected, the display will show the name of the workout, the workout time, the maximum incline setting, and the maxi- mum speed setting of the workout. In addition, a profile of the speed settings of the workout will ap- pear in the display.

Note: If the display shows a workout time of three minutes, see HOW TO CREATE A CUS- TOM WORKOUT on page 17.

Each custom workout is divided into one-minute segments. One speed setting and one incline set- ting are programmed for each segment.

4.Press the Start button to start the workout. A moment after you press the Start button, the treadmill will automatically adjust to the first speed and incline settings that you programmed previ- ously. Hold the handrails and begin walking.

A profile of the speed settings of the workout will appear in the dis- play. A

small arrow below the profile will indicate your progress.

At the end of the first one-minute segment of the workout, a series of tones will sound. If a different speed and/or incline setting is programmed for the second segment, the speed and/or incline setting will appear in the display for a moment to alert you. The treadmill will then automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the second segment. The workout will continue in this way until the small arrow reaches the right end of the profile. The walking belt will then slow to a stop.
