THE INFORMATION MODF_JDEMO MODE

THE OPTIONAL CHEST PULSE SENSOR

 

The console features an information mode that keeps track of the total number of hours that the treadmill has

been operated and the total number of miles that the walking belt has moved. The information mode also al- lows you to switch the console from miles per hour to kilometers per hour. In addition, the information mode altows you to turn on and turn off the demo mode.

To select the information mode, hold down one of the

Stop buttons while inserting the key into the console. When the information mode is selected, the following information will be shown:

An optional chest pulse sensor adds even more features to the console. The chest pulse sensor contin- uously monitors your heart rate during your workouts and allows you to use the console'stwo pulse pro- grams. To purchase the optional chest pulse sen- sor, call the toll-free telephone number listed on the back cover of this manual.

THE OPTIONAL HANDGRIP PULSE SENSOR

An optional hand- grip pulse sensor allows you to con- veniently measure your heart rate be- fore you begin ex- ercising, during your workout, and after you finish. To

purchase the op- tional handgrip pulse sensor, call

the toll-free telephone number listed on the back cover of this manual.

Note: The console's pulse programs can be used only with the optional chest pulse sensor.

When the con- sole is in the demo mode, the power cord can be plugged in, the key can be removed from the console, and the displays and indicators on the console will au- tomatically light in a preset sequence, although the but- tons on the console will not operate. If a "d" appears in the Calories/Pulse display when the information mode is selected, press the Speed _7button so the Calories/Pulse display is blank.

To exit the information mode, remove the key from the console.
