Important: As a safety feature, a sharp tug on the security cord that is attached to the Stop key will cause the running belt to stop. It is a requirement that a user attach the security clip on his or her clothing while working out. Please refer to Using the Security Clip on page 33.
SPEED CONTROL ▼▲: The Speed ▲ key initiates the movement of the running belt at the beginning of a course and lets you designate the target speed. During a workout, the Speed ▼▲ keys let you increase or decrease the running belt’s speed. Speed changes can range from 0.5 to 16 mph (1 to 25 kph) in 0.1 increments. The speed in the Interval course can be programmed by the user. The speed of the running belt can also be modified and limited by the club. Check with the club manager or refer to Club Information on page 21.
Note: When you press the Speed ▼▲ key, the number that appears on the display shows the target speed and may differ slightly from the actual speed because the display can change much faster than the running belt. Eventually, the two meet at the target speed.
Another feature of the Speed ▼▲ keys lets you review the treadmill’s speed and pace any time during your workout. If SPEED and/or PACE is not one of the chosen features being displayed, you can view the speed of the running belt and your pace by lightly touching the Speed ▼ or ▲ key. A
Note: The numeric keys can also be used to adjust the speed. Please refer to Numeric keys above.
