Error messages

When an error occurs, the OVER indicator lights up and the TRACK indicator flashes every 0.2 seconds. The number of the TRACK indicator that flashes indicates the type of error.

Number of the	Description	Remedy
TRACK indicator

1	Illegal disc in CD-ROM drive	A disc other than the audio CD
		is inserted. Insert a proper
		disc.

2	Illegal disc in CD-RW drive	Inserted disc cannot be
	(Data disc, etc.)	recorded or played. Insert a
		proper disc.

3	CD-ROM drive reported error	The unit cannot read data
		from the source disc. Check
		the disc.

4	CD-RW drive reported error	The unit cannot write data to
		the disc. Check the disc.

5	The disc is not appropriate	Inserted disc cannot be
	(pressed disc or non-music	recorded. Insert a proper disc.
	CD-R/RW disc).

6	The disc cannot be finalized.	Inserted disc is finalized. The
		disc cannot be finalized. Insert
		a proper disc.

7	The disc cannot be erased.	Inserted disc cannot be
		overwritten. Insert the CD-RW
		disc.

8	No disc.	No discs are in the tray. Insert
		a proper disc.

9	Source disc data is longer	The disc does not have
	than CD-R/RW disc or there	available disc space. Stop
	is no space to add a track.	recording and finalize the disc.

10	Other errors.	An error other than those
		listed above occurs. Check the
		process of operations.
