Appendix - Fault Isolation

Duplexing

device is in the process of duplexing. This transient status is displayed after the ftsmaint sync or ftsmaint enable command has been used on the CPU-Memory board.

Offline

Burning

PROM

Offline Standby

The device is not functional or not being used.

The ftsmaint burnprom command is in progress on the device. The suitcase stays in offline standby when burning PROM.

The status of a hardware component can change. For example, a component could go from Online to Offline because of a hardware or software error.

A.5 Fault Codes

The fault tolerant services return fault codes when certain events occur. Fault codes are displayed by the ftsmaint ls command in the FCode field and by the ftsmaint ls -lcommand in the Fault Code field. The following table lists and describes the fault codes.

The cabinet battery fuse unit fault occurred.

Cabinet Circuit Breaker

A circuit breaker in the cabinet was tripped.

The cabinet data collector faulted.

A fault was recorded on the main cabinet bus.
