9 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS

Fixing the EX-2780 scanner unit

qPut the scanner unit*1 on the stay, then fix the an- tenna rotor with installation bolts of 8 mm (5/16 in) in diameter, with flat and dish washers and a seal- ing washer. Be sure to keep the direction of the dish washer correct as shown in the diagram*2. (Fig. 4)

wApply lubricant specified below or an equivalent one to the motor bearing*3, if required.

eConnect the grounding wire to the ground plate with the supplied terminal if required. (Fig. 5)

NOTE: When using the optional system cable.

Peel the outer sheath of the system cable when using the optional system cable OPC-1078.

BE CAREFUL ! DO NOT cut the inner shield wire when peeling the outer sheath.
