1) TUNING

The TUNING function allows the piano’s pitch to be fi nely adjusted, and may prove useful when playing with other instruments.

Hold down the TOUCH and TRANSPOSE buttons and press the PIANO 1 button.

Hold down both buttons.

The display will alternate between showing ‘tun’ (Tuning) and a number representing the pitch for ‘A’ in Hz (Hertz).

Use the VALUE buttons to raise or lower the pitch.

TUNING

= 427.0 ~ 453.0

The pitch will increase or decrease by 0.5 Hz increments each time one of the VALUE buttons is pressed. The range of adjustment is from 427.0 to 453.0 Hz (displayed as 27.0 – 53.0).

The factory default value is set to the modern standard A = 440.0 Hz (displayed as 40.0).

„When pressing a key while using tuning mode, the sound that was selected prior to entering tuning mode will be heard. To use a different sound whilst tuning, fi rst exit the tuning mode, select the desired sound, then repeat ‘Step 1’ and ‘Step 2’ again.

„When the power is turned off, tuning settings will reset to the factory default value of 440.0 Hz (displayed as 40.0).
