ASSEMBLING EXCEL

WARNING

The weight of the wheelchair without the user and batteriesisstillbetween90and127lbs.Useproper lifting techniques (lift with your legs) to avoid in- jury. Extreme caution is advised when it is neces- sary to move an UNOCCUPIED power wheel- chair. Invacare recommends using two (2) assis- tants and making thorough preparations. Make sure to use ONLY secure, non-detachable parts for hand-hold supports.

Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts to avoid injury.

The overall performance of the wheelchair WILL be affected by the front wheel mounting posi- tion. Refer to REPOSITIONING MOTORS - FWD WHEELCHAIRS in this procedure of the manual BEFORE operating the wheelchair.

Unfolding/Folding - Integrated Sling Seat (FIGURE 1)

UNFOLDING.

1.Push down on the seat rails until the seat rails are positioned in the seat guides.

2.Assemble the wheelchair. Refer to FIGURE 1.
