3.Reinstall both panels to the opposite side of the vent box panel from which they were removed. Place bottom tab of the panel into the bottom mounting channel.

4.Tilt panel top tab so it is flush with the vent box panel and position it under the tip mounting bracket. Slide bracket into the “Z” slots and tighten the 2 hex/slotted head screws to secure.

Complete Installation

Remove either the back or bottom knockout inside the terminal box and install a UL listed or CSA approved conduit connector.
NOTE: Power supply cable needed between exterior blower assembly and blower box is not provided.
Flexible armored or nonmetallic cable must be used. A
½" (12.7 cm) UL listed or CSA approved strain relief must be provided at each end of the power supply cable.
2.Determine the location where the exterior blower box will be located. Cut opening in roof or wall for vent system to exterior blower. Install exterior blower according to instructions supplied with the blower kit.
Wall Installations:
■Use caulking compound between mounting flange and wall.
Roof Installations:
■Follow standard roofing procedures. Refer to the “Roof Installations” section of the Exterior Blower Installation Instructions.
■The flashing sheet should be centered over the roof opening.
■Lower edge of flashing should lie on top of shingles and upper edge underneath shingles.
■Seal assembly between roof, fan and flashing with roofing mastic to avoid leaks.
3.Using 2 or more people, insert the downdraft vent into the countertop cutout. Position downdraft vent so it is centered in cutout and parallel to edge of cutout. Check that downdraft vent is level vertically. Then fasten lower support legs to the cabinet floor with screws.
