Incoming Calls

Mute ring signal

ÉIf the phone rings at an inconvenient moment:

Press to suppress the ringing.

The ring signal will become silent. The Loudspeaker key and RINGER OFF, in the display, are flashing.

Note: When a headset is connected, both the

Loudspeaker key and the Headset key are flashing.

The display will toggle between RINGER OFF and INCOMING CALL. When the calling party hangs up, the Mute key lamp flashes and the display steadily shows RINGER OFF, i.e. the phone is set for Silent ring (see below).

Press any key to turn the ring signal on again.

Silent ring

If you do not want to be disturbed by the ring signal but still want to be able to answer an incoming call, you can switch off the ring signal.

Press to switch off the ring signal.

The display shows RINGER OFF, and the Mute key lamp flashes to indicate silent ringing. The ring signal will automatically be switched on the next time you lift the handset or press any key.

Do not disturb, DND

When you activate DND, calls to your extension are not shown. Outgoing calls can be made as usual.
