Setting up the connection

ISDN call numbers (MSN)

Your ISDN connection has two telephone lines that can be used simultaneously. You can set up a maximum of 7 call numbers of your own (MSN) on your base station tele- phone. The other call numbers can be used for additional devices on the ISDN connection (S0 bus). If you have not yet stored all call numbers using the installation assistant (see also page 15) you can do this now. All subsequently saved numbers are automatically allocated to the base station telephone and all registered handsets.

Advantages:

Internal subscribers can be dialled directly.

The telephone costs can be split up as the costs for each call number are recorded separately (e.g. home/of- fice).

Entering/changing your own call numbers (MSN)

You can set up a maximum of 7 MSNs. Each newly creat- ed call number is automatically assigned a ringer melody. This can be changed on an individual basis.

You can allocate a name to each of your call numbers (MSNs) to enable you to determine the intended recipient of incoming calls.

Call the menu.

Select and confirm.

Select the list location of the MSN and open the supple- mentary menu.

Select and confirm.

Enter a name (see page 171). Example: Office, Thomas, Home 12345.

Enter or modify the call number.

Open the supplementary menu.

Save the entry.

The phone is in standby.

Deleting one of your own call numbers (MSN)

Example: You subsequently wish to use an MSN that has already been entered for a fax machine, connected to an a/ b converter on the S0 connection, for example, and do not want your phone to ring at every incoming fax.

Call the menu.

Select and confirm.

Select a call number (MSN).

Delete the call number.

The phone is in standby.
