Allocating receive MSNs

In the factory setting, a newly registered handset rings un- der all set call numbers. Proceed as follows if you only want to allocate the handset to particular receive MSNs:

Call the menu.

Select and confirm.

Select the required internal subscriber.

(0 = base station telephone phone, 1...6 = Handsets, 9 = Answering machine)

The allocated MSNs are highlighted.

Select and allocate the required MSN or withdraw alloca- tion.

The phone is in standby.

MSN on busy

If you assigned the same MSN to the base station tele- phone or multiple handsets, you can set your unit in such a way that the caller hears the busy tone when he/she tries to seize the MSN already in use.

The caller is entered in the “missed calls”caller list.

If “MSN busy” is not activated, the call is signalled at the other stations assigned to this MSN and during the ongo- ing call by means of “call waiting”.

Call the menu.

Select and confirm.

Restricting handset telephone access

A newly registered handset can automatically be used to make calls without restriction. You can limit telephone ac- cess using the base station telephone.

●Unrestricted: The subscriber has full telephone ac- cess.

●Internal only: The subscriber can only make internal calls.

●Accept only: The subscriber can make internal calls and receive external calls.

Call the menu.

Select and confirm.

Enter base PIN (factory setting 0000) and confirm.

The display shows all registered internal subscribers and their authorisations.

Select required internal subscriber.

Select and confirm telephone access.

The phone is in standby.

®It is always possible to make an emergency call.

Activate the function “MSN busy”
