Answering system operation

Message capacity

The answering system can record up to 99 messages, depending on how long each message is. Individual messages can be up to 4 minutes long, but the total maximum recording time is 15 minutes. Messages will remain available for replay until they are deleted.

Handset access

In addition to the features described in this sec- tion, you can also use your handset to review or delete messages (see pages 14 and 47).

Activating the answering system

Press the /ANSWER ON/OFF button to turn the answering system on.

When the answering system is on, the button is lit up in red.

Press to listen to current outgoing announcement or record a new announce- ment.

Shows the number of new messages on the answering system. Shows the elapsed time when recording an announcement or memo.

Press to delete current message playing. When idle, press to bring up menu to delete all mes- sages.

Press to turn the answering system on or off.

Press to record a memo on the answer- ing system.

Press to play or stop playing messages.

Press to skip to next message.

Press to repeat message or press twice to play back previous messages.
