1. Dial your telephone number from any touch tone phone.

2. When system answers, enter

4-digit Remote Access Code (5000 unless it has been changed).

3. Enter remote commands (see list at right).

4. Hang up to end call and save all undeleted messages.

NOTE: If the answering sys- tem is turned off or if the memory is full, the system will pick up the next incoming call after 10 rings and ask for the remote access code. If the correct code is not entered after 3 tries, the call will be disconnected.

NOTE: If you pause for more than five seconds during remote access, you will hear a voice prompt to press 5 for help. The system will repeat this mes- sage every five seconds. After it announces it for the third time and no valid command is issued, the call will disconnect.

NOTE: Pressing # when listening to messages will stop the playback process and all unre- viewed messages will continue to be classified as new.

NOTE: Disconnecting the line during message without pressing # playback will cause all unreviewed messages to be classified as old.

Answering System Operation

Remote access

A four-digit security code is required to access your answering system from any touch tone phone. This code is 5000 by default; see page 56 to change it. The system will wait up to 10 sec- onds for each digit entry.

If you reach the system via remote access, enter the four-digit remote access code when the outgo- ing message is playing.

After hearing a double beep, enter one of the fol- lowing commands.

Commands in remote standby mode:

Hang up Saves all messages

1Plays all messages

2Plays new messages only

3 Deletes all messages

5 Announces next set of menu com- mands

7 Records new announcement

0 Turns answering system on or off

Commands during playback mode:

3Deletes the message currently playing and announces "Message deleted"

4Repeats the message currently playing

5 Pauses the message currently playing and announces "Message paused". If message is paused, it will resume play back.

6 Skips to the next message

# Stops message playback and announces For "help, press 5"
