Setting number of rings

This feature allows you to select how many times the phone will ring before the system answers. You can choose from two, four or six rings or toll saver. With toll saver active, the system answers after two rings when there are new messages and after four rings when there are no new messages.

Press SELECT/MENU to select the main menu.

Press ^DIR twice to enter the Answering Sys- tem.

Press SELECT/MENU to activate the answering system menu.

When Number of Rings is shown on screen, press SELECT/MENU to confirm, then press VCID or ^DIR to scroll through the list of options.

Press SELECT/MENU to choose the desired op- tion.

A confirmation tone will sound and the screen will show Choice saved.

Setting message alert tone

This function programs the system to beep every 10 seconds to alert you of new messages. The beep will stop when you have listened to all new messages and 0 is displayed on the message win- dow.

Press SELECT/MENU to enter the main menu.

Press ^DIR twice to select the Answering Sys- tem.

Press SELECT/MENU to activate the Answering System menu.

Press ^DIR to bring up the Message Alert Tone menu. Press SELECT/MENU to confirm selection.

When Msg Alert Tone is shown on screen, press ^CID or ^DIR to select On or Off.

Press SELECT/MENU after choosing ON or OFF.

A confirmation tone will sound and the screen will show Choice saved.
