Alert tones

Beep-Beep-Beep

Handset battery is low. Place handset in tele-

(3 quick beeps)

phone base or charger to charge the battery.

 

 

Confirmation tone

Handset registration or programming com-

 

mand successfully completed.

 

 

Out of Range tone

The handset is out of range. Move it closer

 

to the base.

Error tone (current operation has been

 

unsuccessful; try again).

(beeps every 10 seconds on telephone base)

There are new messages in the answering system (only applies if the Message Alert Tone feature is turned on).

Indicator lights

CHARGE

On when the hand- set is charging at the telephone base.

ANSWER ON/OFF On when answering system is acti- vated and ready to receive calls.

NEW VOICEMAIL Flashes when there are new messages which have not been reviewed.

STATUS LIGHT

Blinks when there is a new voicemail, a new message in the answering system, or a call is on hold.

IN USE

On when either the handset or the telephone base, or both are on line (Flashes when call is on hold).

SPEAKER

On when speaker- phone is in use.
