Making/Answering Calls Using the Base Unit

Making cellular calls

1Dial the phone number.

2Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N.

3When the other party answers, speak into the microphone.

R Speak alternately with the other party.

4When you finish talking, press MZN.

Note:

RFor best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment.

RWhile on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset:

With the call sharing mode on (page 26), press MCELLN on the handset. a MbN: Select the desired cellular phone. a MSELECTN a Press MZN on the base unit.

When only 1 cellular phone is paired or the line is set to make cellular calls (page 17), press MCELLN on the handset, then press MZN on the base unit.

If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it.

Adjusting the speaker volume

Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking.

Making a cellular call using the redial list

The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in the redial list (each 48 digits max.).

1MREDIALN

2MbN: Select the desired phone number.

3 Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N.

Making landline calls

1Dial the phone number.

2 MZN

3When the other party answers, speak into the microphone.

4When you finish talking, press MZN.

Note:

Pause (for PBX/long distance service users)

A pause is sometimes required when making calls using a PBX or long distance service. When storing a calling card access number and/or PIN in the phonebook, a pause is also needed (page 29).

Example: If you need to dial the line access number “9” when making outside calls with a PBX:

Note:

RA 3.5 second pause is inserted each time MPAUSEN is pressed.
