Transferring calls, conference calls

Outside calls can be transferred or a conference call with an outside party can be made:

between 2 handsets

between the handset and base unit (KX-TG6441 series: page 3)

Handset

Example: When handset 1 transfers a call to handset 2 and/or establishes a conference call.

1Handset 1:

During an outside call, press {HOLD} to put the call on hold.

2Handset 1:

{V}/{^}: Select the desired unit. i

{CALL}

L If the paged party does not answer, press {C} to return to the outside call.

3Handset 2 (Receiver):

Press {C} to answer the page. L Handset 2 can talk with handset

1.

4Proceed with the desired operation.

To transfer the call:

1 Handset 1: Press {OFF}.

2 Handset 2 (Receiver): Press {C}.

L Handset 2 can talk with the outside caller.

To establish a conference call: Handset 1:

Press {CONF}.

L To leave the conference, press {OFF}. The other parties can continue the conversation.

L To put the outside call on hold, press {HOLD}. To resume the conference, press {CONF}.

Note:

LIf you transfer a call from a handset to the base unit, the base unit user should press {SP-PHONE} instead of {C}, handset 2 (Receiver) operation in step 3 and 4 (KX-TG6441 series: page 3).

Base unit

Available for:

KX-TG6441 series (page 3)

Example: When the base unit transfers a call to a handset and/or establishes a conference call.

1Base unit:

During an outside call, press {INTERCOM} to put the call on hold.

When 2 or more handsets are registered:

To page a specific handset, enter the handset number.

To page all handsets, press {0} or wait for a few seconds.

L If paged party does not answer, press {INTERCOM} to return to the outside call.

2Handset: Press {C}.

L Handset can talk with the base unit.

3Proceed with the desired operation.

To transfer the call:

1 Base unit: Press {SP-PHONE}.

2 Handset: Press {C}.

L Handset can talk with outside caller.
