Chapter 4 System Startup and Basic System Configuration

Using RP Flash Memory Cards

Use the following command to copy a file to flash memory.

Milo# copy tftp:filename [bootflash:slot0:slot1:] filename

Where:

tftp:filename specifies the source and name of the file to be copied.

[bootflash: slot0: slot1:] filename specifies the destination flash device and name of the file.

The destination flash device can be one of the following:

bootflash:—Specifies that the file is to be copied to the flash memory SIMM on the RP.

slot0:—Specifies that the file is to be copied to the flash memory card in slot 0.

slot 1:—Specifies that the file is to be copied to the flash memory card in slot 1.

 

 

The following is typical output generated using the copy tftp:filename command.

 

 

Milo# copy tftp:myfile1 slot0:myfile1
