Use the Excursion prompt to configure the system for either the Step Outside or Exit User features.

6.1Step Outside

If you enable the Step Outside feature, pressing the [CLEAR] key at the keypad when the system is on with No Delay starts the exit delay tone (if Exit Tone is programmed Yes) and bypasses all points programmed for delay (Digit 1 of point code = 6 or 8). The rest of the system remains on.

The tone and bypass remain until the user presses the [CLEAR] key a second time, returning the system to its fully on state. If a point is faulted when the user presses the [CLEAR] key the second time, the tone and bypass continue. The user must either clear the fault (close the door) or turn the system off with a passcode.

The Step Outside feature allows users to pick up the morning paper or let the dog out without turning the system off.

All Step: Only allows users access to the Step Outside feature when the system is All On with No Delay (instant).

Part Step: Only allows users access to the Step Outside feature when the system is Part On with No Delay (instant).

All & Part Step: Allows users access to the Step Outside feature when either All or Part of the system is On with No Delay (instant).
