Description

C

Extended Delay,

When control panel is Part or All On (armed), short or open starts Extended

Part

Delay if no Trouble option. Refer to Section 11.3 Digit 3, Point Options. You

must fault the Extended Delay point first. If a Non-Extended Delay point is faulted

first, extended delay is not used.

Faulting an Extended Delay point when the system is in exit delay extends exit

delay to the value programmed in the Extended Delay prompt. Refer to the

Extended Delay prompt in Section 6.0 Open/Close for a detailed explanation of

the Extended Delay feature.

Extended Delay points must be normal (not faulted) or bypassed before the

system can be Part or All armed.

If you bypass an Extended Delay point, the system switches to the Extended

Delay. The system makes the switch even if the point is not faulted when you

bypass it.

Extended Delay points that are bypassed and then restore during exit delay are

automatically unbypassed and returned to the system.

If an alarm occurs on these points within 2 minutes of a closing (exit time expired,

Excursion/Exit included), the system sends a RECENT CLOSING message with

the Alarm Report.

If these points are faulted at the end of exit delay, the system waits a period equal

to entry delay before sending an Alarm Report. If the system is not turned off, it

sends an EXIT ERROR message with the Alarm Report.

Missing Extended Delay points generate an alarm response when on, a trouble

response when off.

RF tamper for Extended Delay points generates an alarm response when on, a

trouble response when off.
