MATERIALS

Important: Before you wash anything in the dishwasher, check the information in this section. Some materials are not dishwasher safe and should be hand- washed; others require special loading. Contact the material’s manufacturer if you are unsure about a material’s dishwasher suitability.

Usually Safe

Aluminum: Colored anodized aluminum may fade over time. Minerals in your water may cause the aluminum to darken or spot. This can usually be removed by using a soap-filled steel wool pad.

China, Crystal, Stoneware: Some hand-painted peices may discolor, fade, or spot. Hand-wash these pieces. Position fragile glassware so that it will not topple over or contact other pieces during the wash cycle.

Glass: Milk glass may yellow.

Non-Stick Coatings: Apply a light coating of vegetable oil to non-stick surfaces after drying.

Plastics: Ensure the piece is dishwasher safe.

Stainless Steel, Sterling Silver, and Silver Plate: Place these pieces so that they do not contact dissimiliar metals.

MATERIAUX

Habituellement sécuritaires:

Aluminium : L’aluminium anodisé coloré peut pâlir à la longue. Les minéraux dans l’eau peuvent tacher ou faire noircir l’aliminium. Ceci peut être enlevé avec un tampon à récurer.

Porcelaine, cristal, grès : Certaines pièce peintes à la main peuvent se décolorer, pâlir ou faire des taches. Laver à la main. Positionner les verres fragiles de façon à ce qu’ils ne se touchent pas pendant le cycle de lavage.

Verre Opalin : Le verre opalin de lait peut jaunir.

Enduit antiadhésif: Appliquer une couche d’huile végétale aux surfaces antiadhésives après le séchage.

Acier inoxydable, argenterie : Placer de façon à ce qu’ils ne touchent pas aux autres articles.

MATERIALES

Algunos materiales no son a prueba de lavadoras de platos y deben lavarse a mano; otros deben estar acomodados de modo especial. Generalmente Aceptables

Aluminio: El color del aluminio anodizado puede palidecer con el tiempo. Los minerales disueltos en el agua pueden manchar o quitar el brillo del aluminio. La condición se remedia generalmente con un estropajo de lana de hierro con jabón.

Porcelana, Cristal y Gres: Algunas piezas pintadas a mano se pueden descolorar o manchar. Lave a mano estos artículos. Coloque la cristalería delicada de modo que no se caiga y que no toque otras piezas durante el ciclo de lavado.

Vidrio: Piezas de vidrio opal (u opalina) blanco o rosado pueden cambiar al color amarillo.

Recubrimientos Antiadherentes: Unte una capa ligera de aceite vegetal a las superficies antiadherentes después del secado.

Plásticos:Asegúrese de que la pieza esté a prueba de lavadora de platos.

Acero Inoxidable, Plata Esterlina y Piezas Plateadas: Coloque estas piezas de modo que no toquen
