Using the refrigerator efficiently

Different storage zones

Due to the natural circulation of air in the appliance, there are different temperature zones in the refrigerator. Cold, heavy air sinks to the lowest section of the appliance. Make use of these different zones when placing food in the appliance.

This appliance has a dynamic cooling feature (DynaCool) helping to keep an even when the fan is running temperature. As a result, the differences between temperature zones are less pronounced.

Warmest area

The warmest area is in the top section of the door. Use this area to store items such as butter and cheese.

Coldest area

The coldest area in the refrigerator section is directly above the fruit and vegetable drawers.

Use these cold areas in the refrigerator for all highly perishable foods, such as:

fish, meat, poultry,

deli meats, store-bought meals,

dishes or baked goods containing eggs or cream,

fresh bread dough, pastry dough, cake batters,

dairy products.

pre-packed vegetables and other fresh food with a label stating it should be kept at a temperature of approx. 4°C .

Never store explosive materials in the appliance, or products with flammable propellants (e.g. spray cans,). Danger of explosion!

If storing high-proof alcohol, make sure it is tightly closed and stored upright.

Do not store cooking oil in the refrigerator door. Traces of oil can cause stress cracks to occur in the plastic components in the door.

Do not allow food to touch the rear wall of the appliance, it may freeze to the wall.

Leave some space between items so that air can circulate freely around them. Do not cover the fan in the rear wall - this is important for cooling performance!
