BAKING

Youroventemperatureis controlledvery accurately usingan ovencontrolsystem.It is recommendedthat you operatethe oven for a numberof weeksto becomefamiliarwith yournew oven’sperformance.

Howto Set the Ovenfor Baking

Ovens ControlledwithTouchPads

Toavoidpossibleburns,placeshelvesin the correct positionbeforeyou turn the ovenon.

1.Press the BAKEpad.

2.Press the INCREASEor DECREASEpad untilthe desiredtemperatureis displayed.

The word “ON’ and “100°”willbe displayed.As the ovenheatsup, the displaywill showthe changing temperature.Whenthe ovenreachesthe temperature you set, a tonewill sound.

3.Press the CLEAR/OFFpad whenbakingis finished and thenremovethe food from the oven.

NOTE: A fan may automaticallyturn on and off to cool internalparts. This is normal,and the fan may continueto run after the oven is turnedoff.

To change the oven temperature during BAKE cycle,presstheBAKEpadandthentheINCREASE or DECREASEpad to get the new temperature.

Oven Shelves

Arrangethe oven shelfor shelvesin the desiredlocations whilethe ovenis cool.Thecorrect shelfposition dependson the kind of foodand the

browningdesired.

As a generalrule, w\> placemostfoodsin the middleof the oven,on either

shelfpositionsB or C. See the chartfor suggested —-

shelfpositions.

NOTE: Whenthe ovengets hot, the top and outside surfacesof the ovenget hot too,

To avoidpossibleburns,placeshelvesin the correct positionbeforeyou turn the ovenon.

The LOWEROVENCONTROLknobsare located on the left sideof the controlpanel.

The lowerovencan be used whilethe upperoven is on. The lowerovenhas a standardporcelainfinish. See the Care and Cleaningsectionof this guide.

TO BAKE OR ROAST

1.Turnthe OVENSET knobto BAKE.

2.Turnthe OVENTEMPknobto desiredtemperature.

3.Whenfinished,turn the OVENSETknob to OFF.

TO BROIL:

1.Turnboth the OVENSET and OVENTEMPknob to BROIL.

2.When finished,turn the OVENSETknobto OFF,
