Starting the Engine

1.Open the access panel door on the right side of the light tower (opposite the fuel tank). Set the door latch in place to hold the door open (up).

2.Ensure all breakers are off.

3.Insert the ignition key into the ignition key switch (Figure 14). Turn the ignition key clockwise one click to the ON position. The preheat indicator lamp will light. Wait for this indicator lamp to go OFF. When the indicator lamp goes OFF, the glow plugs have been preheated and the engine can now be started.

4.Continue turning the ignition key all the way clockwise When the engine has started, release the key.

5.Before placing the light tower into actual operation, let the engine run for 3-5 minutes. Check any abnormal sounds or smells that would be associated with a defective light tower. If any abnormal conditions occur, shut down the light tower and correct the problem.

DANGER

ALWAYS make sure the area above light tower is open and clear of overhead power lines and other obstructions. The tower extends in excess of 30 feet (9 meters). Contact with overhead power lines or other obstructions could result in equipment damage, serious injury or death!

DANGER

DO NOT stand behind the trailer while the mast is being raised or lowered. Serious injury could result if the mast falls down.

Outriggers and Support Stands

See Figure 15 for location of components.

1.Make sure both outriggers are extended.To extend the outriggers, pull the locking pin on the outrigger and hold while sliding out the outrigger assembly.
