1 Product Overview

Overview

3Com Switch 4210G Family (hereinafter referred to as the Switch 4210G ) are Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switching products developed by 3Com Corporation. (Hereinafter referred to as 3Com).

The Switch 4210G are designed as distribution or access devices for intranets and metropolitan area networks (MANs). Supporting IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, the Switch 4210G provide abundant service features.

The Switch 4210G include six models, and have the system specifications as shown in Table 1-1. They all support the 3Com-specific cluster management function, which facilitates your network management. And four models of the Switch 4210G also support 10 GE uplink interfaces and the Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology. You can connect multiple 4210G switches through 10 GE ports to form a logical entity, thus to establish a new intelligent network with high reliability, expandability and manageability.
