Step Four: Customizing the TCP/IP Settings

Depending on the ISP you use, you may need to customize the TCP/IP settings. Follow steps 1-6 and if you still cannot connect to your ISP contact you can contact your ISP for specific information such as an IP address or Domain Name Servers (DNS).

1Double-clickMy Computer and double-clickDial-Up Networking to display all the connections you can customize.

2Right-click the icon you created and select Properties to display the My Connection properties window.

3On the My Connection properties window, click the Server Type tab.
