4 BIOS setup

To clear the CMOS memory using the front panel buttons

1Power down the server.

2Press the Reset button and hold it down for four seconds or more; while holding down the reset button, press the power button.

3Release both buttons at the same time.

To clear the CMOS memory using CMOS Clear jumper

1Power down the server.

2Install a jumper on the CMOS Clear jumper pins.

3Boot the system.

4Power down the system and remove the jumper from the CMOS Clear pins.

The next time the system is started following the CMOS clear, the boot process halts displaying the message NVRAM cleared by jumper.

Using BIOS setup

To run BIOS setup, boot the server and press the F2 key when prompted.
